Liquid Fertilizer
APT has developed a small-scale system for nitric fertilizer production from air and water. The key element is a novel plasma-water nozzle with integrated non-thermal plasma torch, powered by a computer controlled power supply. Plasma power varies from 50W to 500W. General view of the smallest system with 0.5-2.0 grams per second capacity (0.5 to 2 gallons per hour) and NO3 concentration on the output over 40 ppm is shown on the photograph. Plasma nozzles with water flow up to 60 gallons per hour (0.25 ton per hour)are also available. This system integrates the most advanced plasma technologies, provides thousands of hours non-stop operation, and works as a platform for a new product line, including production of ammonia and complex fertilizers with controllable water pH.
